HOBBY - STILL PHOTOGRAPHY
His
interests in still photography led him to become a member in Youth
Photographic Society, Bangalore in 1993. He has served this society
in various positions including secretary, treasurer, etc. since
then.

In this society, he learnt the basics & did
all kinds of photography in the beginning. Later, he started concentrating in Pictorial Portraiture & Landscape, both
in Black & White and Colour Medium. He has also tried his hands
at Wildlife and has been successful. He has galore of awards
credited to his name which includes many national awards. His
photographs have been displayed at various national &
international salons.

The photograph titled
"Homeward"
stood first in the year1994 at 18th YPS All India salon of
photography in Black & White sections. This photograph also has
won the first prize at Dept. of Youth Services & Cultural
Activities, Gujarat State. . His other photograph "Elephants
at Waterhole in Bandipur" also secured first place in
Nature Color section. The photograph titled "Three
Companions" has won the first prize at the 8th All India
Art Contest, Cultural Dept., Nagpur. His much acclaimed "Narasimha"
has earned first place at Shutter Bugs, Govt. College of
Pharmacy, Bangalore. It was also exhibited at 20th
Chinese YMCA International Salon of Photography, Hong Kong in 1995
along with "Nuritha
Jeeva".
His other photographs including "Female
elephants", "Perfect
Action", "Sensational
Smile", "Morning Duty"
etc., have also earned accolades at various photographic societies
at national and international levels. He has won annual Askary
Photography Scholarship, Jamaica, New York for the year 1998.
